Cosmic Vision

“It is the muses who inspire the sensible king. Likewise, they pour soft dew and sweet honey on the tongues and lips of poets they choose. Forgetfulness of woes and a truce for worries. It is not only by the beauty of their songs and stories that the muses make us forget our misfortunes. They also allow poets, musicians, artists, and their audiences to obtain cosmic vision.”

There are large concepts that I meditate on daily, and when we think of ancient philosophies [concerning], cosmic consciousness, and the connectivity of humanity, one can lose themselves in the literature of it, the practice of it, the understanding, and the search.

And for me, the questions that I have must be answered literally, logically, [and] physically.

Show it to me. I don't want to “believe”.

I want to know. And this large concept of cosmic vision is answered in this small passage because it is through the artist. through the musician, that we touch on that connective tissue, that we feel inside our bodies, the larger [the awe].

And whether your art be a mathematician or a woodworker, that artistry allows one to touch the infinite and share it with others.

And that's what I've been meditating on this morning.
