UNto YOU

May I ask you dear child what will you do?

When called to look at your life in reverse

What will you give unto the universe?

Say something now that is utterly true.

Tell not of what you saw but what you did.

Shall it be of the joy and kindness brought

Or calculated cruelty well wrought

Tell not of what you have but how you lived.

Who were you when the worlds children cried out?

What did you do when there was no more food?

Did you look evil in the face and shout.

Or did you scoff and say helping is crude.

You will spend eternity in full mind.

So, I ask you, what will you leave behind?
