DEFEND

Freedom is the sure possession of those alone who have the courage to defend it.

I was listening to a TikTok, and the person said that “The reasons that companies are able to get away with what they do to people is the reason why a dog licks his balls… because he can.”

And I think that that is so fundamentally true when we see the CEO of Palantir clearly unwell.

I can only speak on that of which I know to be true, so I cannot make assumptions about his personal activities.

But what I do know to be true about watching the CEO of one of the largest government surveillance operations is that he is unwell.

No person who is of sound mind, body, and spirit sits on a stage and acts that way in public if they are well. We allow men of multi-billion-dollar corporations to prey on the world, and they are unwell.

We allow men to commandeer areas of the new frontier, whether it be missions to Mars or AI.

We allow men to touch the frontier with the same care, values, morals, ethics, and understanding of the unwell. They are unwell.

And that is the larger conversation that we need to have. Why are we allowing the sick to lead the well? The few to commandeer the many?

It's because we allow it. It's because they can.

And thus I go back to freedom belongs to those who have the courage to defend it.

And that's what I've been meditating on this morning.
